We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Locum Biomedical Scientist for an exciting opportunity in Hampshire. If you have a strong background in Haematology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Histology, or other laboratory specialties, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Haematology: Perform routine and advanced blood tests, including blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film reviews.
• Microbiology: Conduct diagnostic tests, including microbiological cultures, antimicrobial sensitivity testing, and pathogen identification.
• Biochemistry: Assist in the analysis of blood and urine samples for biochemical testing and provide accurate results for patient care.
• Histology: Prepare and process tissue samples, perform microtomy, and assist in the staining and mounting of slides for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in all laboratory procedures.
• Provide accurate and timely results for medical teams, ensuring clear communication of findings.
• Support in quality control and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Key Requirements:

• Qualifications: HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist (or equivalent).
• Strong experience across multiple laboratory disciplines (Haematology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Histology, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being an effective team player.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Hampshire for the duration of the assignment.
• Availability: Immediate availability or flexible start dates.
