Locum Compliance

We have simplified the compliance requirements to ease the recruitment process. Our dedicated Compliance Officers are always on hand to help you along the way. They offer constant support and guidance to see you through to process as outlined in the Department of Health and guidelines as set by Workforce Alliance, NHS employers and NHS Scotland.

The 4 Steps to Compliance:-

Step 1- Document Verification and Interview

We conduct Internal Interviews with our candidates and at this point, we will view your original documents in order to verify these. This process should take no more than 30 minutes and can be conducted at a date and time convenient to you. During this time, we will also be on hand to assist you with any additional forms and documentation you are required to submit.

Step 2 - Occupational Health (Fitness to Work)

We collate your immunisation history and laboratory reports.  These will then be forwarded to our Occupational Health Specialist team along with your Confidential Health Questionnaire for them to review and to provide a Fitness to Work clearance.

Step 3 - DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)

You undoubtedly will have a current Enhanced DBS check either through your existing employer or recruitment agency.  Should this be the case and the enhanced DBS Certificate you hold is registered with the DBS Update Service please provide a copy along with authorisation for TLA to check the DBS Update Service website.  If you do have not have a registered DBS, TLA will need to complete a new one on your behalf.

Step 4 - Mandatory Training

The majority of health professionals will have completed annual mandatory training courses with their current employer or agency. Please forward copies of any certificates you have for our records.  If you are unable to provide certification we have a number of training providers who will support you through completing this process.
